What we collect
Account information you provide: name, handle, email, age, location, height, weight, sex, and any optional profile fields.
Training data you log: workouts, sessions, marks, pursuits, competitions, and challenge attempts.
Connected-tool data: when you authorize Strava, Garmin, Apple Health, WHOOP, or similar integrations, we read the activity, heart-rate, and recovery data those services share with us.
Device + usage data: app version, device type, IP address, and basic interaction events used to make the product work and improve over time.
How we use it
To run the product: render your profile, generate plans, surface athletes chasing what you're chasing, send race-mate notifications, and the rest of what makes Athletos useful.
To improve the product: aggregate, anonymized analytics that help us understand which surfaces and features actually serve athletes.
To communicate: account notifications, transactional emails, and product updates you've opted into.
What we share
Public profile data is visible according to your privacy settings (public, followers, private). You control this on Settings.
We do not sell your personal data. We don't share it with advertisers.
Service providers: we use vetted infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting, Sentry for error monitoring) that process data on our behalf under contracts that constrain how they handle it.
Your rights
Access: you can see your data in the app. Account exports are available on request.
Correction: you can edit profile fields, pursuits, and most data directly.
Deletion: you can delete your account from Settings. We remove your data from active systems within 30 days; backup copies cycle out within 90 days.
If you're in California, the EU/UK, or another region with specific data rights, those rights apply to you regardless of where you signed up. Contact us and we'll honor them.
Children
Athletos is not intended for users under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We'll update this page when meaningful things change and surface a notice in the app.
