Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account: your name, email, profile photo and handle, your age group, and the consent choices you make. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name, email and photo.
• Training and wearable data: when you connect intervals.icu, we receive your workouts, including GPS routes and second-by-second heart rate, pace and power. If you allow health data, we also receive daily wellness data such as sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, weight and VO2max. Data from Garmin devices reaches us through Garmin Connect and intervals.icu.
• What you enter: training plans, races and goals, meals and drinks, habits, notes, messages, coaching requests, and profile details such as date of birth, sex, height, weight and injury notes.
• What we calculate: readiness, fitness and fatigue, training paces, fueling targets and race predictions.
• Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, a delivery address for your device.
• Technical data:sign-in sessions and error logs needed to keep Athletos running and secure. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How we use it

To run Athletos for you: build and adjust your plan, show your training and recovery, calculate readiness and fueling, send the notifications you ask for, send workouts to your watch, and keep your account secure. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or use your health data to train AI models. If we want to use your data in a new way, we'll ask first.

3. Who can see it

You decide. Your privacy settings control what other athletes and your coach can see, and your recovery, body and nutrition data are private by default. Other Athletos members can see your name, handle and photo. A coach sees only what you allow. Competitions show your daily totals only to members of competitions you join.

4. Service providers

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting.
• intervals.icu: connecting your watch and apps, and sending planned workouts to your watch.
• Anthropic: AI features you choose to use, such as meal estimates.
• Apple, Google and Mozilla push services: delivering the notifications you turn on.
• Google: sign-in, if you choose it.
• Open Food Facts: food search; only your search terms are sent.

5. AI features

AI features run only when you use them. For meal estimates, the photo or description you submit is sent to Anthropic to produce the estimate, and Athletos doesn't store the photo. If you connect an AI assistant such as Claude with a personal token, it can read the data your settings allow, and it can't change anything unless you turn on changes. What you share with the assistant is covered by its provider's terms (for Claude, Anthropic's terms for your account, including your model-training setting). You can revoke the token anytime.

6. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules in our database limit each record to you and the people you've allowed, and our own access is limited to what's needed to run and support Athletos. If a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data from Athletos right away, and it ages out of our backups within 6 months. Disconnecting your watch stops new data, turning off health data stops daily health data from coming in, and you can delete imported health data or your whole account from Settings.

8. Your rights

You can see, download, correct and delete your data, and withdraw consent for health data or sharing, from Settings or by emailing info@athletos.fit. We respond within 45 days. If we can't honor a request, we'll explain why and how to appeal.

9. Children

Athletos isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it. Accounts for athletes under 18 start with everything private.

10. Changes

We'll tell you in the app before a change takes effect, and ask you to agree again when a change affects what you've consented to.
